Bible Reading: Psalms 1:1-6
Words to Reference:
Intuition– the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.
Reasoning: the process of thinking about something in a logical way in order to form a conclusion or judgement.
What motivates you? What do your actions and words reveal? Who’s advice do you follow?…What your inner spirits tell you to do, versus what your fleshly reasoning dictates your actions to be, will have you in constant struggle with sin.
We will tell ourselves we deserve something or someone. We will sell ourselves on how obedient we had been and are allowed a reward for being so “good”. That reward may be in the form of watching, listening, eating, or participating in something we know we should not. But isn’t that the way the world wants us to behave? -To be seen as just one of the guys, able to fit in and seamlessly teeter between one group to another? Fitting “in” to this world may have us left out of the next. We are to avoid being like those that are children of Satan by standing out against them. Is it difficult?….Absolutely! Can it be done?….For sure!!! Can we do it alone?…..Not a chance.
When we delight in the law of the Lord we will run all of our decisions through the filter of His Word. Our desires will align with His and we will become even more obedient to our Lord and Savior. The life we have been blessed with here on earth will become a constant goal oriented pursuit to gain access into Heaven. Not by our deeds, or by our words, but by belief in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that is everlasting and has given us grace.
